NWSWD 2021 Fee Schedule and General Information

  • ALL FEES SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. Unless otherwise noted, business and residential fees are the same.

  • Attendant has discretion on all pricing.
  • All electronics are banned from the landfill. Click here for proper disposal instructions.

Cost per item

All pricing for Residential and Businesses with less than 10 employees unless otherwise noted. Businesses with 10+ employees should bring all waste to Georgia site.

Household trash

  • 15 gallon bag = $3.00
  • 30 gallon bag = $5.00
  • 45-55 gallon bag = $8.00
  • 75 gallon tote = $15.00

*Overweight bags: higher fees apply

Recycling

  • General/Household = Free

Batteries

  • Non-rechargeable primary = Free
  • Rechargeable batteries = Free
  • Lead acid batteries = Free
  • Lithium batteries (large) = $25
  • Lithium batteries (damaged/defective) = $2

Bulky household items

Medium density mixed load bulky = $50.00/cubic yard.

Appliances

  • CFC [freon] units (i.e. refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc.) = $15.00
  • Other appliances (i.e. washers, dryers, stoves, furnaces, etc.) = $5.00

Scrap metal

  • Metal items (other than items listed elsewhere) = $1.00 – $20.00 per item (attendant discretion)

Tires

  • All passenger cars & trucks up to 19″ diameter = $6.00 +$3.00 with rim
  • Large truck, tractor & equipment tires = Call for information. Georgia facility only.

 

Agricultural plastics

  • Maple Tubing
    • Cubic yard clean = $7.00
    • Cubic yard w/ taps, tees, fittings, etc. = $23.00
  • Polycarbonate Spouts
    • $0.10/lb.
  • Ag Film (bunker cover, mulch, etc.)

  • Copiers (floor models) = .50/lb. Georgia Site Only
  • Kitchen microwaves = $3.00

  • Straight tube/U-lamp = Free up to 10 lamps; 11+ lamps = $0.50 ea.
  • Compact [CFL] = Free
  • Circline = Free up to 10 lamps; 11+ lamps = $0.50 ea.
  • Incandescent/Halogen = $0.25 ea.
  • HID/metal halide/HPS/LPS/mercury vapor lamps = Free up to 10 lamps; 11+ lamps = $2.00
  • UV/black light/germicidal lamps = $3.00 ea.
  • Specialty lamps (shattershield/projector) = Free up to 10 lamps; 11+ lamps = $3.00
  • Neon lamps = $10.00
  • Broken lamp fee = $5.00/lb. ($1.00 minimum)

*Non-Residential Program Management Lamp Fees assessed for large volume lamp deliveries (inspection, sorting, counting, labeling and packing).

Non-Mercury Lamps/Bulbs

Incandescent/Halogen = $0.25 ea.

Construction & Demolition (C&D) debris

  • Medium density mixed load C&D* = $50.00/cubic yard.
  • High density load C&D* =up to $110.00/cubic yard.

Household Hazardous Waste

Accepted by appointment at our Georgia facility or at our pre-scheduled special collections.

CEG business hazardous waste fees will be determined based upon type and volume of waste material.

  • HHW Waste Chemicals (Residential)
    • 1-gal = $2.00
    • 2-5 gal = $5.00
  • HHW Waste Chemicals (Business/Licensed Hauler)
    • 1 qt. = $1.00
    • 1-gal = $7.50
    • 2-3 gal = $21.00
    • 5-gal = $42.00
    • $2.00/lb. other
  • Latex/oil paint, varnishes/stains = Free
  • Aerosol paint, industrial coatings and paints, adhesives, asphalt coatings = $1-$2/gallon
  • All other chemicals [kitchen, bathroom, pesticides, auto, used motor oil, antifreeze, taping compound] = $1-$3.50/gallon
  • Small engine/gasoline powered items* = $6.00

*Fee is for removal of residual gas/oil.

  • Used cooking oil* = $1/gallon ($5.00 Minimum)

*Cooking oil is processed into bio-diesel, then sold by Black Bear Bio-Diesel in Plainfield, VT.

Food waste

  • Food waste = Free
  • Brush/Leaves = $3.00/$5.00/$8.00 (Except for N. Hero)
    • North Hero Site Only – Brush/Leaves
      • Leaves: $5.00/cubic yard
      • Brush: $10.00/cubic yard

Textiles

  • Clean clothing, shoes, bedding, material, draperies: 30 gallon bag = $1.00

  • Composting bin = $45.00
  • Recycle bins = $6.00

Re-use area, Georgia location

If you have clean re-usable items, please deliver to our Georgia Recycling Facility. All items are subject to attendant approval for re-use.
